The good news is the Rainy River District School Board has adopted a
$36.8-million preliminary budget for the next school year.
The bad news is the Public Board continues to lose students and
Superintendent of Business Laura Mills says the downward trend is quite
dramatic.
An overall 2% increase in Ministry grants will be spent on
primary class size reductions, full day Senior Kindergarten, later literacy programs, staff development, teacher contracts and school renovations.
The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is expected to introduce
its budget later this summer.
