Another major honour for Balmertown’s own Eric Radford.
The municipality of Red Lake will officially re-name Mine Road in Balmertown to “Eric Radford Way”.
Red Lake Deputy Mayor Sandy Middleton was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Friday and he stated the community is excited and proud to honour the Olympic Figure Skating champion.
Middleton says there will be a ceremony this afternoon at 1:00pm, followed by a community celebration at 2:00pm at Centennial Park.
That will be followed by a meet-and-greet at the Heritage Centre at 4:00pm.
On Saturday, Red Lake will celebrate Pride Day.
