The decision by the American Government to lift a ban on the importation of some Canadian beef products is good news for tourist outfitters in Northwestern Ontario.
The Northern Ontario Tourist Outfitters Association says the new regulations will allow deer and moose meat to cross the border.
Executive Director Doug Reynolds says they had to fight hard to get the ban lifted and it came at the right time.
Reynolds says if the Americans had waited a couple of more weeks, it could have cost Outfitters in the Region millions of dollars in lost business.
