Bank robberies suspected

Police in western Canada are wondering whether a bank robbery in Kenora earlier this month has any connection with a string of unsolved heists from British Columbia.

The R.C.M.P. in B.C. are investigating a couple of bank robberies in Vernon and Kamloops on August 25th and believe they may have been committed by the same suspect.

45 year old Dean Joubert was arrested on September 5th fleeing Kenora after the Scotia Bank was robbed.

Joubert is still in custody at the Kenora Jail, but so far no additional charges have been laid against him.

The R.C.M.P. says they are looking at the timelines of
robberies across western Canada.
