Hundreds of residents on remote first nations evacuated last week due to forest fires in the far north have started to return home.
Fire Information Officer, Bob Thomas says damp, cooler weather over the weekend, has eased the smoke situation.
He adds that because of the weather conditions, fire managers are also re-assessing the restricted fire zone.

Thomas says there has been only one new fire today located near Ignace and yesterday there were no new fires for the first time since August 23rd.
