Barclay Fire Hall Ready And Willing To Cover Dryden Fire Calls

The impact of a Dryden Volunteer Fire Fighters Association decision to suspend operations is still not clear.

In a late night press release to area media, the Executive of the Association says that they are no longer providing fire services due to the “wrongful dismissal of three volunteer fire fighters, one a captain of 18-years, and two fire fighters with a combined 46-years of service.”

However, officials at the Barclay Fire Hall say they are ready to respond to any fire call in Dryden, noting District 2 is prepared to cover any potential void.

They say volunteers are appreciative of Dryden’s support and decision to keep the Barclay Fire Hall open.

Calls to fire and city officials have yet to be returned.
