A young Sachigo Lake man has helped make the vision of a CT Scanner in Sioux Lookout a reality.
20-year-old Riley Barkman has finished his 700-kilometre walk and has raised over $205,000.
Officials at the Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre says the walkathon has produced the funds needed to proceed with the purchase of a CT Scan Unit.
Barkman and his team left Sachigo Lake on March 28th and arrived in Sioux Lookout on Wednesday.
The $1.5-million CT campaign was inspired by the late Grace Tesky and started in 2007.
