Barrick Gold Faring Well

Barrick Gold says its third-quarter profit soared to $405-million,
from a year-earlier $113-million.
The Company acquired Placer Dome and other Red Lake operations earlier
this year.
Earnings for the quarter at the world’s biggest gold producer amounted
to 46 cents a share, compared with 21 cents a year ago.
Operating cash flow was a record $805-million, up from $232-
million.
