The Ministry of Natural Resources says it obtained some good information from the recent Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship.
The MNR used the tournament as a means of studying the bass population in Rainy Lake.
Area biologist Darryl McLeod says among the information collected was the age class of the fish.
McLeod says their studies show the bass fishery remains strong.
