A number of fire ranger crews are back in Northwestern Ontario after spending the past 2-weeks battling forest fires out in British Columbia.
Red Lake resident Melissa Austin is based out of the Dryden Fire Center and says conditions were much different out in B.C. compared to here at home.
Austin says the rough terrain and steep mountain slope made it very difficult to fight fires.
122 fire rangers returned home over the weekend and another 122 were sent out again on Saturday to replace them.
