The largest bass fishing tournament in Canada is getting a much needed financial boost.
Fort Frances Town Council and the Rainy River Future Development Corporation have each agreed to contribute 5-thousand dollars to the annual summer event.
The tournament was facing a financial crunch when the sale of “Reel Raffle” tickets had to be cancelled due to Ontario lottery licensing changes.
The town and the power corporation will also continue to offer in-kind services to the bass championship.
