Beach Open, Beach Off Limits

It’s a good news-bad news situation for folks in Sioux Lookout.
The Northwestern Health Unit has reopened Second Sandy Beach on
Pelican Lake.
Officials collected acceptable bacteria samples from testing this week.
However, the Health Unit has been forced to close Town Beach in Sioux
Lookout because of high levels of E-Coli.
Again, high winds and heavy rain played a factor.
The beach will remain off-limits until further notice.
