Ranger Smith never got a chance to nab Yogi, but the Ministry of Natural Resources wasn’t about to follow suit.
The MNR caught a hungry bear just before dinner Tuesday night after a day long ordeal.
The bear was spotted at the east-end Welcome to Dryden sign yesterday morning.
The MNR set up a trap, prompting the bear to sit and plot out a plan to steal the food inside.
At lunch, the bear walked in and out of the trap and fled into the bush with food in mouth.
He returned for dinner and was caught inside the trap.
MNR staff transported the bear to the bush Dryden.
The secret recipe for the Bear’s capture?
Chalk it up to some Robins Donuts, Jello powder, syrup, dog food and vanilla.
