It’s shaping up to be a bad Fall for nuisance bears in Dryden.
Last year, 150-nuisance bear reports were handled by City Police and
Inspector Terry Spicer says they are close to that mark right now.
Spicer adds officers have been forced to shoot 3-bruins.
A bad berry crop this Summer has brought the bears out of the bush
and into residential neighbourhoods looking for food.
Spicer says homeowners are asked to keep their garbage secure and
barbeques stored away after use.
