The Owner of the Winston Motor Hotel in Pickle Lake is making a
desperate, last minute plea for help.
The Town still plans to disconnect the Hotel’s water and sewer service
this week due to an outstanding bill of $26,000.
Boris Kravet says the bill should be based on actual water usage and not on
on a per-unit basis and he’s willing to pay half.
Kravet says he’s heard nothing from Council and will be forced to
lay-off 15 employees, unless someone comes to his aid.
One Councilor has advised Hotel staff that their jobs would be secure
if Kravet pay’s the bill and notes Council cannot implement a rate change.
