Bearskin Lake shooting death

A 44 year old man has been charged in connection with the shooting death on the Bearskin Lake First Nation in northwestern Ontario.

The Nishinabe-Aski Police were contacted Sunday after 40 year old James Makoop had been killed.

The O.P.P. were called in to help out with the investigation and Rex John Day was arrested this week and charged with
Criminal Negligence Causing Death and Careless Use of a firearm.

Day was remanded into custody and appeared in Dryden court yesterday for a bail hearing.
