December 17th 2010; the family is sad to announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister and aunt.

Bessie is survived by her husband William Whitehouse, children Tammy, Debbie, Bonnie, Ruby, Herb and Tim, special niece Cheryl, special cousin Verna Luestchaft, grandchildren: Joseph, Charlene, Matthew, Bryan, Shannon, Thomas, Alia, Josh, Beverly, Crystal, Donald, Cheyenne, Vera, Tornado, Roderick, Titanus, Nikita, great grandchildren: Jaxon, Tianna, Bryce, Vera and Mary, and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; Mary and Thomas Moore; sisters: Elsie, Lucy, Lillian, and her first husband Harvey Smith.

She was born and raised in Eagle River, Ontario and lived in the surrounding areas until she moved to Mississauga area in the spring of 1980.

Bessie enjoyed attending and being part of the Anglican Church.

She enjoyed volunteering at the school her grandchildren attended and was loved by the children, she so adored. Bessie loved to be visited by all her family and friends. Together with her husband Bill, they enjoyed travelling home to attend the Annual Eagle Lake Pow-Wow and to visit Bill’s family down East. She was an active member of the community of fellow seniors; enjoying bingo and casino trips.

With a quiet and caring heart she cared for all of her family.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home’s Chapel.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home’s Chapel with Elder Robert Kelly and Wayne Toews officiating.

Interment to follow in the Eagle River Cemetery.

If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation through the Dryden Community Funeral Home
