Last night the Rainy River District School board passed a motion to provide funding, if necessary, to launch the Best Start program.

The board is getting $313,952 for the program, but McMaster admits they will need more than that, and the board is willing to chip in the rest, and recoup that money next year.
Initially, the priority is to increase the number of child care spaces at the kindergarten level by 23.
