Plans for a new health care facility in Sioux Lookout have taken a huge step forward.
Health Minister George Smitherman signed a cheque for $6.5 million & handed it to officials from the Meno-Ya-Win clinic over the weekend.
The Hospital will combined the latest modern medical procedures with traditional native healing methods.
When completed, the facility will also allow patients to be treated closer to home & should dramatically cut the number of trips out of the area for medical treatment.
