A 65-year-old Canadian man and a 62-year-old American woman are each facing drug charges in what is being described as the largest drug bust in Minnesota along the international border.
The Koochiching County Sheriff’s Office says the two were arrested last week following the seizure of more than 820 pounds of suspected marijuana with an estimated street value of 4-million dollars.
Searches were carried out in a vehicle, a U-hail trailer and a home in International Falls.
Police had been tracking the pair for several weeks and the arrests were made with help from U-S Border Patrol as well as Minnesota and Ontario authorities.
