Rainy Lake is now almost free of ice.
On the Minnesota side of the lake, officials say the ice officially moved out on Saturday.
On the Ontario side, a spokesperson with Rusty Myers Flying Service notes although most of the ice is gone, there is still some left in the North Arm.
This year’s official ice-out is poised to beat last year’s date of April 30th.
