The Dryden GM Ice Dogs have added some depth up front.
The team has signed 17-year-old Cameron Lockard.
The native of Whitecourt, Alberta is coming off an MVP season in the Northern Alberta Midget Hockey League.
Lockard led the league in scoring with 29-goals and 36-assists in only 30-games.
Director of Hockey Operations and Scouting Wayne Labrie says this is a huge signing and a statement that “we’re all in” to represent the SIJHL and the City of Dryden at the Dudley Hewitt Cup.
Labrie adds Lockard is a player who has always put up numbers and plays with a high level of compete.
Lockard says he selected Dryden because it’s a great organization and he feels he has the opportunity to work with great coaches and players to develop as a hockey player and be able to get to that next level.
The right-winger is listed as 5’11 and 170-pounds.
