Aboriginal leaders say a reported police plan to crack
down on protesters with force is threatening an already
fragile relationship with first nations.

Canadian authorities are willing to deal aggressively with

A number of aboriginal representatives from first nation
communities in northern ontario gathered in Toronto
yesterday to speak out against the jailing of six band
leaders from the Big Trout Lake First Nation for
protesting a mining site on their traditional land use
territory.
