A rally is being held in Kenora on Saturday in support of the band members from Big Trout Lake who were jailed last week for contempt of court.
The lone female protester is being transferred to the Kenora Jail, and the women of Big Trout Lake and the Nishnabe-Aski Nation are staging the event on her behalf.
Treaty Three Justice Projects Coordinator Mary Alice Smith says they want to provide moral support to Head Councillor Cecilia Begg.

Begg was sent to jail last week for six months for refusing to obey a court order to allow the mining company Platinex to conduct exploration work in their traditional land use territory.
The rally will take place near the Kenora Jail tomorrow
afternoon at 2:00.
