Biking to raise awareness and funds to support the recovery of Lake Winnipeg.
That’s what the organization Cycling for Solutions is doing.
Four amateur cyclists have embarked on a 470 kilometre ride from Winnipeg to the Ontario Experimental Lake Area.
The organization talks about harmful algae blooms in Lake Winnipeg and how the Global Nature Fund named the Lake as its “Threatened Lake of the Year” in 2013.
