The Canadian Union of Public Employees says it’s asking for a no-board report in its contract talks with the provincial government and school board.
A decision could put the 55-thousand educational assistants, office administrators, custodians, library technicians and early childhood educations in a legal strike position as school begins in September.
The union’s Terri Preston feels bargaining for their members isn’t being taken serious.
CUPE had asked for more days to bargain and were given three.
Preston says teachers unions have had more than twenty days.
