A consultants report would like Fort Frances and the International Falls area build on their long-standing relationship.
The cross-border relation is one of the area’s of focus in the report, commissioned for Voyage Forward, formed to look at economic opportunities for the International Falls and Koochiching County areas.
It suggests building on existing partnerships and expanding to areas like tourism, economic development and employment.
Voyage Forward’s Michael Wellcome says despite the challenges of dealing with federal regulations impacting the border, it’s worth exploring.
