Bill Campbell

In loving memory of Bill Campbell, age 77, who passed away at Cowichan District Hospital, Vancouver Island, on Tuesday, February 23rd following a brave (courageous) battle with cancer.

Bill enjoyed moose hunting in his backyard with family and friends when he lived on Meadows Road in Dryden. He was hard working, always building or modifying something in the garage, from cars to model air planes and steam engines. Through the years he enjoyed travelling across Canada and down into the States to visit family, taking in flea markets, antiques stores, museums and panning for gold along the way. He was a devoted husband, father and loving Pappy to all his grandchildren and enjoyed a good “debate” with friends and family.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joyce Campbell of Ladysmith, B.C. and their 4 children: son Eric of Bucyrus, Ohio, son Chris (Michelle) of Dryden, son Miles (Stephanie) of Dryden, daughter Sebrina Benson (Harry) of Cobble Hill, B.C., by 6 grandchildren: Erica (Travis) Agee, Trevor (Steph) Campbell, Lance (Kaylee) Campbell, Sara Campbell and Ty and Jeremy Benson, as well as 4 great grandchildren: Austin, Emily, Matthew and Katharina. Bill is also survived by his sister Ruth Foght (ne:Campbell) and his brother Jack Campbell of Ohio.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. There will be no internment of ashes at this time.

Should friends desire, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Northwestern Region, Balmoral Park Place, 920 Tungsten St., Thunder Bay P7B 5Z6
