Bill Salonen To Be Inducted Into Sports Hall of Fame

The Northwestern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in Thunder Bay has announced the 2014 inductees and among them is a Drydenite.
Bill Salonen has dedicated himself to sports development for over half a century and is being recognized in the “Builder” category.
Salonen has served as a coach and official for little league baseball, high school football and hockey and in a number of executive capacities for such organizations as Hockey Northwestern Ontario, Hockey Canada and the Superior International Junior Hockey League.
Bill will be officially inducted into the Northwestern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in Thunder Bay on September 27th.
