A bio-refinery that will act as a “test-bed” for developing environmental technologies and clean alternatives to fossil fuels will be the centrepiece of a new bio-economy research Centre in Thunder Bay.
The Provincial Government has accepted a task force report outlining the future vision of the Centre
Minister of Research and Innovation John Wilkinson says the Centre will position the North as a global leader in forest bio-products and the bio-economy.
The Government has pledged $25-million dollars in order to meet the task force recommendations.
