Bizarre Fatal Incident Near Red Lake

A St. Paul, Minnesota man is dead following a bizarre incident south of Red Lake.
Provincial Police say they were contacted Thursday morning after the pilot of a float plane was trying to bring his plane into shore on Dee Dee Lake.
Police say 67-year-old James Kowalski was standing on the floats when he lost his balance and fell into the propeller.
He was transported to hospital in Red Lake, where he died of his injuries.
OPP say an autopsy has confirmed that there’s nothing suspicious about his death.
Kowalski was the founder of a successful Minnesota grocery store chain.
OPP and the Transportation Safety Board are both investigating.
