Blueberry Bert is all ready to go!
He’s the face of the Annual Blueberry Festival set to begin next Friday in Sioux Lookout.
Coordinator Alyson Brunton says they are still accepting sponsorship, customized shirt orders, as well as schedule of event advertising and registration.
Brunton notes the response from the community has been outstanding.
She stresses the Festival features a great mix of traditional and new events.
Some of the returning activities include the opening ceremonies at Town Beach, the Slo-Pitch tournament, home craft and trade show as well as Blueberry Bert’s birthday.
Inaugural events are an archeological dig for kids and an old-fashioned picnic in the park.
