The Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police
is on the lookout for people mixing boating and alcohol.
The OPP’s marine unit patrolled the Winnipeg River
yesterday and checked sevreal boats.
Constable David Cain says the boat checks resulted in
three men being charged with having open liquor, which can
result in severe consequences.

Cain adds the OPP’s Marine Unit will be routinely
patrolling the Winnipeg River and Lake of the Woods all
summer.
