Canada wants to take a closer look at the direction of the new government in the United States.
Kenora MP Bob Nault is Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee and says they are planning a trip to Washington to get some first hand input from experts and politicians alike.
Nault says he wants to talk to their colleagues in the Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives to get a feel for the direction of the new government.
Nault says it’s not very productive just talking amongst themselves, they need to travel to Washington to hear from American decision makers.
