It took almost two weeks, but the RCMP in eastern Manitoba say they have finally recovered the body of a missing swimmer in Whiteshell Provincial Park.
The search for a 38-year-old man from Fisher Branch, Manitoba began on August 27th on the Winnipeg River.
Police say the man went into the water to retrieve his boat, but he failed to resurface.
The Mounties say his body was located on Friday.
Police continue to investigate.
