Border Crossing Technology Being Implemented To Speed Up Processing

Canada Border Services Agency is introducing technology to certain border crossings to help process visitors faster.

This allows special readers to capture the radio frequency identification that found on certain travel documents such as enhanced drivers’s licenses and NEXUS cards.

The technology is in place in nine high traffic locations, including the Emerson border crossing in Manitoba.

No word if it will be expanded to border crossings in northwestern Ontario.
