A guest speaker and renowned author is in Dryden Friday to talk about his experience with alcohol and drug addiction.
Roland Vandal is sharing his story of struggles against addiction, after being sexually abused by his boxing coach.
Vandal didn’t know who to tell or trust and found solace in drugs and booze.
His story reveals how he fought back and managed to survive.
The public is encouraged to attend his free presentation at 6 at the Legion.
Vandal will be there from 2 until 5:30 for a meet-and-greet and book signing.
The event is being organized by a group of Social Service Worker students from across Ontario in order to raise more awareness about the serious issue.
