The month of October has proven to be much colder than normal.
Environment Canada says temperatures in Sunset Country have been running as much as 10-degrees below normal.
Meterologist Andre Pelland says the winter-like conditions are thanks to a slow moving arctic system.
Pelland says the system should start to move out of the region by early November with a warming trend expected.
The average daytime high for October is about 10 with an average overnight low of 2.
