After spending 25 days behind bars, Bruce Montague has
been released on bail pending his upcoming appeal to the
Ontario Supreme Court.
The former Dryden Gunsmith was released from Kenora jail
late Friday night.
Montague says he’s thankful for all of the kind letters
he received in jail, and notes it’s not a pleasent
situation.

Montague’s appeal was submitted the day after he was
sentenced to serve 18 months on 26 firearms related
convictions. Montague says the appeal process could take
up to another year.
