Bruce Ramsay Reflects Back On Calder Cup Win

Dryden’s Bruce Ramsay is enjoying a well deserved break following a year he will never forget.

Ramsay helped coach the Grand Rapids Griffins to an American Hockey League championship this past season.

In an interview with CKDR News, Ramsay stated that he believes the Calder Cup is the second most difficult trophy to win in professional sports.

All of the wins were decided by one goal.

He says to be a part of the Detroit Red Wings organization is an phenomenal feeling, noting returning to Grand Rapids was a homecoming as he played three seasons with the team before coaching.

And he’s not going anywhere as Ramsay has re-signed with the Griffins as an assistant coach for another two years.

Ramsay will be a feature speaker at the Hometown Proud Fundraising Dinner and Auction in Dryden on July 26th.
