Budget Highlights From Kenora MP

Kenora MP Roger Valley says the minority Liberals first budget is a
good news one for Northwestern Ontario.
Among the highlights is an increase in FedNor’s base funding from
$20-million to $52-million.
The Martin Liberals have also provided tax breaks for those caring for the elderly.
Valley says the Feds are also pledging an additional $735-million
over the next 5-years for aboriginal health programs.
And the local MP says they are also committed to spending $5-billion over
5-years to build an affordable Early Learning-Childcare system.
Nationally, Valley says an extra $12.8 billion for the
military stands out as a highlight.
