The City Of Dryden is in the early stages of formulating its 2002 Budget.
At this point, it is not yet known if residential or commercial ratepayers will be faced with a tax increase.
However, city council will have to decide if it will go ahead with three major capital projects in the coming year totalling more than three million dollars.
Renovations are needed for both the Public Safety Building and the former Dryden Hydro building to accommodate police and fire services.
The city is also supporting a proposed community auditorium.
And the fire service is in need of a new aerial truck.
Fire Chief Darryl Herbert says the present truck is more than 20 years old and replacement parts are difficult to find.
A draft budget should be available for council to review by the end of next month.
