That was the focus of Wednesday’s meeting between the Chiefs and Mayors of the Fort Frances Chief’s Secretariat and the Rainy River District Municipal Association.
Both sides agreed that one of the top priorities is the design of a formal accord.
Other areas of concern are apprenticeship training to meet mining industry needs and a united front on the Forest Tenure process.
Specific topics included the closure of the Resolute Forest Products Mill.
