It’s hard to believe but a new school year is just around the corner.
Classes are back in session on Tuesday and the Northwestern Ontario Student Services Consortium says their buses are ready to hit the road.
General Manager Judi Green says parents don’t have to contact them to confirm bus arrangements, noting they can assume everything is the same as last year.
Green says to request new arrangements, you can fill out a Transportation Request form.
She says a new tool has been launched to ensure parents are in the loop on busing issues and that’s the ‘Parent Portal’.
Green is encouraging parents to sign-up for their email and text alerts to get information on bus delays and cancellations and other relevant information.
She adds any new requests on route extensions or new bus stops won’t be looked at now until towards the end of the September.
