There were a couple of emergencies for the Dryden Fire Service this morning.
At 10:30 they were called to a supermarket parking lot on Government Street.
A car drove into a concrete barrier where the driver was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
The car recieved significant damage to the front end.
Later at 11:30, fire crews were called to Dryden High School only to find a false alarm.
A smoke detector in a room had been tampered with and the act of mischief is being investigated by police and the school board.
