Red Lake and Sioux Lookout residents are dealing with heavy smoke today
after a number of forest fires over the weekend.
Ministry of Natural Resources Information Officer Debbie Mclean says
crews are fighting several lightning caused fires in the Northern portion
of the district.

Mclean says the weekend was one of the busiest of the fire
season with 119-new fires reported.
She says fire personnel and equipment are taxed to the limit.
