Kenora Hosts Women’s hockey camp

The National Women’s Hockey team is holding its fall training camp in Kenora this week.

A total of 57 of the best women hockey players in Canada are trying out for a spot on the national squad.

Jennifer Botterill is a veteren of the team and a gold medal winner at the Olypics this past winter in Turin, Italy.

She’s looking forward to another exciting season, wrapping up next April with the World Championships in Winnipeg.

Botterill had three assists last night in the first of four exhibition games at the Kenora Rec. Center.

The training camp will wrap up on Saturday.
