It was a busy couple of days as 34 new forest fires were reported across northwestern Ontario over the weekend.
The fires sparked in the Dryden, Red Lake, Sioux Lookout, Thunder Bay and Nipigon districts.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is investigating other reports.
Officials note most fires are small and crews are making good progress on active fires.
A handful are being monitored as they are in remote areas and posing no threat to the public.
