Butts Has Day 1 Troubles but is Still in the Hunt

It wasn’t the start John Butts of Dryden was looking for at the
Super-Pro In-Fisherman PWT Tournament in Dryden.
Butts reeled-in 5 fish for 7.21 pounds on the opening day Wednesday to put
him in 31st place in the 52-man field.
Butts says he excpects to rebound Thursday.
The leader is Mark Brumbaugh of Ohio with a Day 1 weight
of 16.55 and he says it was the perfect start.
Mark Courts of Minnesota is second at 15.24, while Ron Seelhoff of
Burlington, Colorado had the big fish of the day at 7.79.
In the Amateur standings, the leader is Reid Norine of Oakdale,
Minnesota.
Sioux Lookout’s Neil Michelin is close behind in second, while
Dryden’s Rob Brodhagen sits in 4th.

Day 2 competition is underway with weigh-in’s at 4:30 at the Dryden
Memorial Arena.
Organizers are looking for another great turnout.
