Dryden Mayor Anne Krassilowski is upset with the Ministry of Environment.
Minister John Gerritsen has okayed a 30 million dollar Ministry of Transportation area highway planning study project.
Krassilowski says she thought the by-pass issue was over and done with.
The Mayor says former Minister of Transportation Donna Cansfield had allayed the City’s fears, and told them there would not be a by pass if they cleaned up the current corridor.
Gerretson has stated upgrading the existing Highway 17 corridor would not address the long term needs of the Trans Canada Highway.
